physics sound recordings.

  • Jun. 1st, 2009 at 11:02 PM

AHAAAHHAHA went to record sound for physics pt today.

so waste. those people who are actually studying are all listening to ipods. those who are sitting in study groups are all talking. those around them are all eating o.o

who's the one being affected by noise?

but then again, going around was fun. I think people found me suspicious. Like siting/ standing at one spot for 20+++ minutes staring into thin air or into a book i wasnt really reading. Plus i was in this colour with this shorts. yes.

then the silly handphone, okay it's kindda my fault that I kept pressing wrong buttons and not getting the recording right. but then handphone was being difficult. ~whine :( don't take me seriously.

there is always back ground music in every shop. and every shop i went to, except the library, were eating places. There they have tables and air-con. And smells. Subway! Ended up buying quite a lot of food and feeling quite full because it was just to strange to sit there. guilty conscience i guess. ><

Delifrance had the loudest back ground music but then it was almost empty and the place was so nice. I liked it. :D except it was a bit too high-classy. didn't really dare to walk in.

i shall finish my physics pt tomorrow:D MUAHAHAHAHA.

Happy birthday, dear:D

June's cool.
in the other half of the world.
HEHHEE. here, June's hot enough for air-con.

getit? okay, being high, weird and lame. :D

hheeehee, can't believe that I'm actually posting two days in a row. ah wells.

I love reading books, finally figured which kinds are the best. :D
sometime though there's this erm weird behavior of mine to go back to the children's section in the library.

somehow books that have music or a thief in them are books that you can relate to.
those with animals in them are heartwarming
those with people and elderly and touching
those with magic are dream landish.

so random.

"with all I am" is a nice song too. The lyrics of the songs we sang today finally made sense, although those in Chinese took a while. It was like sudden gradual realization that makes you have this fuzzy feeling. hopefully it stays yeah?

AHAHHAAA i touched white glue, ribbon, scissors and more than 200 ice cream sticks today.

the thief
the queen of attolia
billie standish was here
heidi
the giver

i have trouble remembering the rest :(

there are a lot of people in the world. so far most of them I've met so far are really nice. :)

then there is classification (almost like when you classify things for bio):

family,
friends,
best friends,
seniors,
teachers,
mentors,
juniors,
batchmates,
relatives (cousins, grandparents, anuties and uncles),
adult people,
strangers,
nice people,
people who you share the same name with (which is quite a lot)
people's friends,
daoshis
elderly,
toddlers,
dont like the people (it is not very good to have them),
enemies (not good!),
etc.

haha then there is ranking. which I don't bother with anymore

it makes me warm and fuzzy and thankful when thinking of  the people I've met so far.

I would put a very long list here to include everyone.

wonder who's next!

CG retreat + other things

  • Jun. 9th, 2008 at 11:21 PM
ROAR.  There's this bit of braces wire/ bracket sticking out but not yet flapping because uncle forgot to put the last rubber band (now it is pink [doesn't have red] and greed, like Christmas) and I didn' realise. Sometimes it pokes me, but it is okay.
Oh, and I painted my handphone.
CG retreat was great! There was BBQ dinner, which was a lot of fun, Then we had Singpiration and then watched Facing the Giants. Really, now I know why we have to take pride in our work and do our best(: Don't mind watching it again! Finished at 12o'clock and then had station games. Our group had only three people including me so we had to combine o.o At our first station I got sprayed with water and whipped cream on my head. (the wipped cream smelt quite nice), fortunately not the eggs! Our last station was transporting water so everything was drenched and everyone was shivering, but at least it washed some of the whipped cream off. Haha, it was all so fun. No water bombs this time! After washing up I think bed time was about 3plus. Some other people didn't sleep at all, no wonder on Sunday everyone was tired.
Then next day we had devotion after breakfast. May led our group. It was about David and Goliath. Looked at it in a way never before and it was kind of related to Facing the Giants, about how God works though us. Then we played games. Oh and the food at camp was great! Then we had to do this skit thing in our groups. All brain dead by then. I think we were the funniest. The other groups were very entertaining and we were actually given these random items and had to include it in our play but can use it as it is. We had a hangar, nail buffer, shoe box and a visor. Yes, so everything was random. Won tibits. It was very enjoyable and it was fun having fellowship with churchmates.
Looking forward to the next church camp! (:

In the morning I was moody. Hmm, like there was a lot of energry inside me? Possibly it could have been used up if i skipped a lot or run or play the piano. HAHA, but I went to sleep.
but.
YAY. I finally ate yam, got it for dinner today. We went to eat and the kopitiam at our block. Then we were all so full we walked to tenmile junction. There was Sheng Siong Supermarket. I saw lots and lots of vegetables, it was very NICE(: But the sugarcane was old and moldy. Then there was a lot of fruits and there were mangoes at $5 for 1 and durians one packet $10. o.o Rows and rows of cooking oil, garlic and onion. Milk, cheese, butter. Later we walked to the other side with all the dry products. Shopped for cookies and biscuits, etc. I chose hello panda, gummies and ritz crackers. THERE WAS THAT SHAMPOO I USED WHEN I WAS SMALL! <3 haha, we shall use it next time. yay. Mummy bought this cutie compact toliet paper. It was three together. She forgot we walked here so after that we had to lug it all the way home. Haha(: Before we left there was the alcohol section. The glass bottles are pretty. So are the colours. We saw this tonic drink and there was a ginseng inside. There was Carlsberg and Tiger beer and Xinhui was reciting all the mottos and catch lines she saw on TV. No, we don't drink.
Going to IKEA tomorrow for sets! And there's the outing with [info]uralimpiel and [info]darong
Whee. Hoodie hunt, skipping ropes, Toys'r'us here we come!
GaiGai(:

Recipe for starbucks mocha praline

  • Jun. 5th, 2008 at 9:07 PM

Starbuck's Mocha Praline is very sweet, chocolatey and nice. When drinking it you should add cinamon, nutmeg, chocolate and vanilla.

Here's the recipe:

-put a hazelnut chocolate bar, vanilla essence, ice, full cream milk, coffee, condensed milk, more chocolate, into the blender

-blend it

-pour blended mixture into a cup and top it with whipped cream

-sprinkle coffee/chocolate on it

-(optional) add cinamon, nutmeg, chocolate and vanilla

This is seaslug's recipe, but seaslug hasn't tried it. It's just a theory so be careful.

(Seaslug has learnt how to write recipes. The starting word of each instruction must be an action word!)

I've figured out the Champagne grape red tea from sweet talk and the peppermint mocha from starbucks too, but let's save it for another time(:

Bras Basah, My Room

  • Jun. 1st, 2008 at 5:23 PM

Wheee. I went to bras basah, yesterday, with family. It's so exciting. Visited that giagantic popular with the art section with clay and then tecman. There was also art friend, various second hand book stalls, spectacles shops, CD shops. LETS GO AGAIN, then we'll look at the music instruments and the music scores at the music shop and see Artfriend. Haha, I didn't buy anything but we had a very nice dinner.

My room had a makeover. Or almost had a makeover. I cleaned it:) So now, no notes over the floor, 5mm thick dust, risk of falling, there is floor space, my table is free, all files and books are stored inside the cardboard. Well the book, files and notes in the cardboard look messy but it's organised. As in you know, organised but messy but I know where exactly everything is. It is clean and wonderful. It took 3 and a half hours but it's worth it. Haha, should have taken an after and before picture.

Cailing came back today, everyone's happy:) Let's go out.

relisations

  • May. 30th, 2008 at 12:46 PM
Seaslug's realisations happen quite a lot nowadays.

Well, this happens quite a lot nowadays, it is basically just thinking then you suddenly realize something. Like if you have a Chinese word and you keep saying it, it is only then when you realize how it got it’s meaning. Okay that was not very coherent but I hope you got it.

Realisation 1

Happened a few months ago. I was skipping in school, from the popular bookstore towards the art room. You know, the art room has this display gallery kind of thing and I could see my reflection. So I saw a girl in a pinafore with a tie skipping with her hair bouncing up and down. I figured that is why we don’t see people, much less PITs skipping in school. I told [info]tingthepro about it and she laughed and said that I was weird. Haha, now you see. But then again, you already saw right, because all of you reading my lj do know me. It'll be interesting if a junior searches the web and suddenly finds my LJ now that I started writing in it.

Realisation 2
I was waiting for the lift back here. Then my brain somehow thought about straws and then it was like:
1. you take in air through the straw.
2. the water enters into your mouth
3. the flappy thing in your throat now moves, closing your wind pipe and opening the gullet
4. nice cool water enters your stomach via the gullet.
but you see, in order for this to work, when you are taking in air to suck the liquid up through the straw you have to keep the liquid in your mouth, so technically, it is not drinking just as yet. Right?

I shall work on how I express things. No wonder Ms Ong says what she says about my Literature. That I have ideas, just that I have trouble conveying it. When my seaslug's currently tiny vocabulary/ grammar/ spelling dictionary grows (believe me, it was a lot worse last year, many thanks to the people I kind of treated like a walking dictionary) I will come back and edit this post. So my discoveries can be made known to you, society, the world, the universe.

[and take over the world!]

livejournal entry 1

  • May. 30th, 2008 at 12:19 PM

whoohoo, be glad. I am finally using my LJ.

using it for:
1. remembering things
2. saying things
3. recording things
4. organising things
5. expressing things?
I'm going to post things about:
1. my realisations (which is a lot)
2. my adventures
3. discoveries
4. life (it is a little broad but)
5. places
6. people (about nice people, hopefully)
7. music?
8. stories

Aren't you glad,

[info]uralimpiel  and [info]darong ? All of you have been nagging at me for ages to use my LJ to post something rather than just using it to read friends locked pages or posting comments without using annoymous

well things that people should know when reading seaslug's LJ:
1. I may not type somethings
2. there might, no is a lot of spelling and grammar errors. which will hopefully improve.
3. I'll try to do proper punctuation. Yes? Microsoft word spoilt me by correcting all my punctuation mistakes.
4. If anything is offensice, tell me and i'll take it down. But I don't think there should be or is any:)

Look out for my first real post. seaslug is welcoming herself to LJ. Well actually it has been almost a year, but still.
